2013 MEAC Men's Basketball Championship Brackets (PDF)
DURHAM, N.C. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the pairings for the 2013 MEAC Basketball Championships, which will take place from March 11-16 at the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va.
By virtue of its 22-8 overall record, 15-1 in the MEAC, North Carolina Central University finished the regular season as the second seed and will play the winner of the 7/10 matchup on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. as the final game of the day in the tournament. The winner of the conference tournament is given an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
The seven seed is the Aggies of North Carolina A&T finished the regular season 15-16 overall with an 8-8 mark in conference play, while Florida A&M, who finished the regular season 10th was 8-22 overall, 5-11 in league action.
The NCCU Sports Network will have full coverage of the 2013 MEAC Basketball Championships beginning with coverage in the Lady Eagles first round matchup with Coppin State at approximately 1:15 p.m. and at 7:45 p.m. for the men’s contest on Wednesday night.
