DURHAM, N.C. – With the quick turnaround after North Carolina Central University dropped both contests to East Carolina over the weekend, the Eagles look to regroup as they hit the road to battle the Spartans of UNC Greensboro for the first time on Monday night, April 1 from UNCG Baseball Stadium in Greensboro, N.C. at 6:00 p.m.

NCCU (18-11, 8-4 MEAC) enters the week on a two-game losing skid, but the maroon and gray certainly hung with ECU in their home-and-home series.  After managing one-hit in a 3-0 loss in Greenville on Friday, the Eagles left 10 runners stranded and hit into four double plays in a 5-1 loss on Saturday at the DAP.

UNCG (14-13, 3-6 Southern Conference) is coming off a huge series victory over No. 22 Georgia Southern, giving the Spartans their third win over a nationally-ranked opponent this season.

The Spartans are on-a-roll having won six of their last nine contests and are batting .303 as a team this season with senior outfielder Christian Wolfe batting .442 (No. 1 in the SoCon) at-the-dish with three home runs and 20 RBIs.  Catcher Cambric Moye bats .359 on the year with a team-high five home runs with 24 RBIs on the year, also tied for first on the team.

Monday’s pitching matchup will see junior right hander Terry McNabb (Davidson, Sask.) toe-the-rubber for his sixth start of the year.  McNabb (3-2, 2.21 ERA) has thrown 40.2 innings with 30 strikeouts and 10 walks, having surrendered just 10 earned runs on the year.

First-year head coach Link Jarrett will send lefty handed redshirt sophomore Brandon Browne to the mound for his fourth start of the season.  Brown is 0-1 on the year having thrown just 3.1 innings with eight walks and one strikeout on the year.
