THE GAME
North Carolina Central University begins a busy stretch heading toward the end of November as the maroon and gray will play four games in the state of North Carolina in an eight-day span beginning with game No. 2 of the 2013 Global Sports Hoops Shootout against the Camels of Campbell University. These two programs have not met since NCCU joined the NCAA Division I level.
THE SERIES
This will be the second meeting all-time between NCCU and Campbell as the Camels beat the Eagles 89-77 on Jan. 24, 1979. That contest was played in the Raleigh Civic Center, however, this will be the first meeting between these two since NCCU become an to the NCAA Division I school. The Eagles are 6-17 all-time against the Big South Conference.

CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY "CAMELS"
Following Saturday evening's 81-66 loss to NC State, Campbell University dropped to 2-1 on the year under first-year head coach Kevin McGeehan. Two games into the 2013 Global Sports Hoops Shootout, the Camels are now 1-1 with the lone victory being a 73-66 triumph over Appalachian State on Monday, Nov. 12 in Boone, N.C. McGeehan comes to Buies Creek after spending the previous five years as the associate head coach at Richmond, where the Spiders enjoyed some of their greatest success in reaching the postseason five out of the last six seasons, including a run to the Sweet 16 in 2011. The Camels employ the spread motion attack on the offensive end that has seen CU average 75.3 points a game. After three games, seven student-athletes are contributing 6.3 points or more led by 6-9 Raleigh product Darius Leonard who averages 17.7 points a game, while also topping the team ripping down 7.7 boards per contest. Leonard scored 17 points on 7-of-18 shooting in the 15-point loss to the Wolfpack, but grabbed nine boards in 35 minutes of action. D.J. Mason's averaging 12.7 points a contest to sit second on the squad as the 6-6 forward is shooting 52.0 percent from the field (13-for-25). Andrew Ryan is one of the top three-point shooters on the team at 5-for-9 (55.6 percent) joined by Luke Moyer's 5-for7 (71.4 percent). Andrew is third on the roster averaging 11.7 points per contest. The Camels are shooting 39.3 percent from the outside (24-for-61) averaging 8.0 threes made a game, but average 15.0 turnovers per contest as well.

The Eagles busy week continues as NCCU takes on the Wolfpack of NC State on Wed., Nov. 20 at 7:00 p.m. from PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C. in game No. three of the Global Sports Hoops Shootout. The maroon and gray are 0-4 against the Wolfpack since 2007, including a 65-60 nail-biting defeat at historic Reynolds Colisuem on Dec. 11, 2011. The last time the Eagles played in what is now PNC Arena was Jan. 22, 2009.
CHAPMAN IN A CLASS BY HIMSELF AT THE TOP
With his 6 helpers in the 98-47 victory over Johnson & Wales on Nov. 11, 2013, Emanuel Chapman, moved atop the charts to first place on the all-time career assist list. The Raleigh, N.C. native currently has 410 career assists at NCCU, breaking the previous mark by Michael Wright (80-81, 82-85) who collected 409 assists in his maroon and gray career. Chapman became the second Eagle in school history to rack up 400 assists last season. Chapman recorded 180 dimes last year, eclipsing his 162 helpers from the 2011-12 season, which is the most since Donald Sinclair dished out 200 helpers in the 1979-80 campaign.
NCCU THROWS A BLOCK PARTY AGAINST
JWU In the convincing 98-47 win by NCCU over Johnson & Wales, the Eagles recorded 11 blocked shots, the second most since the 2001-02 campaign. NCCU blocked 13 shots against Winston-Salem State on Feb. 18, 2004. Five different Eagles recorded at least one swat led by Jordan Parks team-high 4. Jeremy Ingram, Jay Copeland, and Ebuka Anyaorah all recorded two blocks, while Emanuel Chapman added one. Listed below are the top shot-blocking games by NCCU since the 2001-02 season.
