PREDICTED WEATHER FORCES NCCU BASEBALL GAMETIME CHANGE

Doubleheader to begin at 11:00 a.m. because of predicted storms

DURHAM, N.C. (NCCUEaglePride.com) – Due to the prediction of heavy thunderstorms slated to hit the Triangle area on Saturday afternoon, the North Carolina Central University baseball program has announced that Saturday’s doubleheader against Coppin State University will be moved up to an 11:00 a.m. start time on April 16 at the Durham Athletic Park.

If the weather cooperates, NCCU and CSU will play both games of the doubleheader with game one being nine innings and the second contest going seven innings long which is normal MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) procedure.

If the predicted weather does come to fruition, depending on field conditions NCCU and CSU will play at least one game permitting it is safe to play. If that is the case and only one game can be played on Saturday, then there will be two seven inning contests played on “Senior Day” Sunday, April 17 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
