NORFOLK, Va. – With one more match in its regular-season schedule, the North Carolina Central men's tennis team has earned the No. 2 seed for the 2026 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tennis Championships on April 23-25, hosted by NCCU at Cary Tennis Park.
The Eagles will begin their championship run in the semifinals after earning a first-round bye with a 4-1 conference record. NC Central will face the winner of No. 3 Norfolk State and No. 6 Coppin State, who meet on Thursday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
The only other bye belongs to No. 1 South Carolina State, as the Bulldogs went undefeated in the MEAC. The defending champs will take on the winner of No. 4 Morgan State and No. 5 Howard. Those teams are also scheduled to play Thursday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
Both semifinal matches are set for Friday, April 24 at noon. The winners will advance to the championship match on Saturday, April 25 at noon to determine the conference champion.
