NORFOLK, Va. - North Carolina Central outfielder Kendal Daniels was selected MEAC Softball Rookie of the Week on Monday, Feb. 16, after a productive weekend at the HBCU Collegiate Invitational in Covington, Ga.

Daniels collected three RBIs, two hits and two runs scored in four games. Her best outing was against Fort Valley State in a 5-3 victory. The NCCU freshman doubled in two runs and added a bases-loaded RBI walk in the win. Against Florida A&M, Daniels was 1 of 2 at the plate with a walk and one run scored.

Defensively, Daniels recorded three putouts with no errors.
