NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina Central swept the MEAC weekly cross country awards on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Emmanuel Paddyfote was named men's runner of the week and Alitza Dennard was selected women's runner of the week.

Paddyfote and Dennard both claimed individual titles at the UNCW Beach Blast 5K in Wilmington, N.C., this past weekend. Paddyfote won the men's race in 15:32.77 and Dennard ran a winning women's time of 19:33.96.

Both runners paced the Eagles to impressive finishes. NCCU beat seven teams for the men's title and the women finished second out of seven teams.
