DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central will compete in the Queens City Invite cross country meet on Friday, Sept. 11, at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C. The women's 5K race begins at 6 p.m. followed by the men's 8K race at 6:45 p.m.

ABOUT NCCU
- Aaron Alukunyang will be aiming for his second men's cross country win in as many meets. Last Friday, he won the men's 6K race at the Elon Opener in 18:57.6. Alukunyang, who won by eight seconds, was the only runner to finish under 19 minutes.
LAST TIME AT QUEENS
The Eagles will run at Queens for the third straight year and the fourth in five years. This is their first time participating in the Queen City Invite, however. NCCU ran in the Royals Cross Country Challenge in 2025, 2024 and 2022.
Last year, eleven Eagles posted their season-best times as the women placed 11
th out of 18 teams and the men finished 13
th out of 19 teams.
