DURHAM, N.C. – Three local races, including the MEAC Championships, highlight the 2026 North Carolina Central cross country schedule.

NCCU will host the MEAC Championships for the second consecutive year on Oct. 30 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Last year, the Eagles took home third-place trophies in both the men's 8K and women's 5K races.

The conference meet will be the Eagles' third appearance at WakeMed Soccer Park this season. They will compete in the adidas Challenge on Sept. 18 and the Cedric Walker HBCU Challenge on Oct. 2.

The season opener is Sept. 4 at the Elon Opener in Elon, N.C. The rest of the slate includes the Queen City Invite on Sept. 11 in Charlotte, N.C., the Lancer Pink Invitational on Oct. 9 in Farmville, Va., and the Upstate Invite on Oct. 17 in Spartanburg, S.C.

The NCAA Southeast Regional will be held in Spartanburg, S.C., on Nov. 14 followed by the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind.
