DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University men's and women's tennis teams travel to Washington D.C. and College Park, Md. for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Round-Up on March 28-30. Howard University is hosting the event at the Washington Tennis and Education Foundation's East Capitol Campus (WTEF) and the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC).
The women's team (5-7) opens conference play and will knock out the majority of its MEAC schedule in four matches. First up for the Eagles will be the Hornets of Delaware State on Friday, March 28 at the JTCC location at noon.
NCCU WT follows that match with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 29, facing Howard (9 a.m.) and Coppin State (1 p.m.), both at WTEF. The Eagles close out the Round-Up against Morgan State on Sunday, March 30 at WTEF for a 1 p.m. match.
On the men's side, the Maroon & Gray already has one conference match under their belt after defeating Norfolk State in early March. NC Central resumes league action versus Coppin State on Friday, March 28 at 9 a.m. at WTEF.
The Eagles (9-4) face Morgan State on Saturday, March 29 at JTCC at 3 p.m. and play a Sunday finale with the hosts of Howard on March 30 at 9 a.m. at WTEF.
After the Round-Up concludes, the women's team only has two more MEAC regular season matches remaining, traveling to South Carolina State on April 5 and hosting Norfolk State on April 12 at the Cary Tennis Park. NCCU MT wraps up conference play at SCSU on April 5.
