GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sophomore guard
Aysia Hinton of North Carolina Central was named an Academic All-District Women's Basketball honoree by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday, March 25.
The Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA). She must have played in at least 90 percent and started in at least 66 percent of the team's games in the 2024-25 season.
Hinton, who started all 30 games, boasts a 3.60 cumulative GPA. A kinesiology major, Hinton averaged 6.8 points and tied for fourth in the MEAC in three-point field goals made per game (1.8).
