NORFOLK, Va. – Outside hitter Kamren Harper of North Carolina Central was named MEAC Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday (Nov. 3) after an impressive weekend in leading the Eagles to a 2-0 record.

The NCCU senior posted consecutive double-doubles in the victories, amassing 37 kills and 51 digs. She tallied 22 kills and 21 digs in a five-set win over Morgan State on Friday, Oct. 31. Harper followed that performance with 15 kills and a career-high 30 digs in the four-set win over league leader Coppin State on Sunday, Nov. 2.

In the Coppin State match, Harper surpassed the career 500-dig milestone. She is the only NCCU player to accumulate over 1,000 kills and 500 digs in the NCAA Division I era.

Harper captured the MEAC Player of the Week award for the first time this season. She ranks second in the MEAC in kills per set (3.80) and ranks third in points per set (4.16).
