Eagles Well Represented in Football All-MEAC Teams

NORFOLK, Va. – The North Carolina Central University football program was well represented as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its 2025 postseason all-conference teams.

In total, 17 Eagles were recognized, including 10 first-team honorees.

Quarterback Walker Harris highlighted the Eagles' first teamers, coming off a season where he became the program's all-time single-season passer. After passing for 3,214 yards and 24 touchdowns on the season, Harris wrapped up the campaign ranked third in FCS in passing yards.

Wide receiver Chauncey Spikes and tight end Luke Bracey were also named to the All-MEAC First Team; Spikes ranked fourth in the MEAC in receiving, averaging 60.4 yards per game. For the season, Spikes caught 48 passes for 664 yards and nine touchdowns. Bracey caught eight passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Trevon Humphrey anchored the Eagles' offensive line en route to earning First Team All-MEAC honors. He led a line that helped NCCU (8-4, 3-2 MEAC) lead the MEAC in scoring offense (33.8 ppg) and rank second in total offense (449.5 ypg). The Eagles eclipsed 450 total yards in five games this season.

Defensive lineman Thomas Johnson and defensive backs Jelani Vassell and Tomondrey Braxton each earned first-team honors on the defensive side of the ball. Johnson tied for seventh in FCS in sacks with 12, while leading the conference in both sacks and tackles for loss.

Vassell led the MEAC with a team-high five interceptions, including two in the season finale at Morgan State, while Braxton was fifth on the team with 40 tackles to go along with a pair of interceptions.

Punter Brandon Bowman, kicker Kaleb Robison, and return specialist Mehki Wall swept the first team slots on special teams. Bowman led the MEAC, averaging just over 43 yards per punt, while Robison made a MEAC-best 18 field goals on the season. Robison had six games in 2025 in which he made multiple field goals – including a three-kick effort against Norfolk State.

Wall averaged a MEAC-best 26.2 yards per kick return this season. 

NCCU's second team honorees were running back Chris Mosley, wide receiver Chance Peterson, offensive linemen A.C. McMoore and Ja'Quan Sprinkle, defensive lineman Donquarius Parker, and linebackers Max U'Ren and Isaiah Lawson.

Mosley led the Eagles' second team contingent, rushing for 1,017 yards on the season and eight touchdowns. His 92.5 rushing yards per game were second in the MEAC, and he ranked 12th in FCS in all-purpose yards.

Peterson was second on the team, averaging 60.6 receiving yards per game, and McMoore and Sprinkle were the main cogs in the Eagles' offensive line.

U'Ren and Lawson were first and second on the team in tackles; U'Ren ranked fourth in the MEAC with 73 stops on the season, while Lawson was sixth in the conference with 71 total tackles.

Parker's 39 tackles were sixth on the team, and he ranked sixth in the MEAC in tackles for loss.

The MEAC will announce its Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year during the National Football Foundation (NFF) Annual Awards Press Conference on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino beginning at 9 a.m. PST.
