BALTIMORE, Md. – North Carolina Central held a two-set lead before falling 3-2 (25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 19-25, 11-15) to Morgan State in a MEAC volleyball match at Hill Field House on Friday.
RECORDS
NCCU is 1-2 in the MEAC and 4-11 overall. Morgan State is 2-1 in the MEAC and 5-8 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles took control late in the first and second sets for a 2-0 match lead.
- The tide turned in the third set as the Bears gained momentum late for their first set win.
- The Bears led the majority of the fourth set to tie the match.
- The Eagles only trailed 7-6 in the fifth and final set but the Bears reeled of four straight points for an 11-6 lead on their way to winning the match.
NOTES
- The Eagles last played three straight five-set matches in 2023. In fact, they did it twice that year including three consecutive conference matches. But not since becoming a full MEAC member in 2011 has NCCU opened league play with three consecutive five-set matches.
- NCCU led Morgan State in kills (58-52), assists (52-45) and digs (55-51) but committed more service errors (15-14) and attack errors (23-16).
