DURHAM, N.C. – Kamren Harper posted her third consecutive double-double as North Carolina Central cruised to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-18) MEAC volleyball win over Norfolk State at McDougald-McLendon Arena on Sunday.
The victory was the third straight over the Spartans as NCCU has won eight of the last 10 meetings in the series. The Eagles are 5-1 at home against Norfolk State since 2010.
RECORDS
NCCU is 2-4 in the MEAC and 5-13 overall and Norfolk State fell to 0-6 in the MEAC and 1-18 overall.

EAGLES DOMINATE
The Eagles were in control from the outset, breezing to victory in all three sets. They opened a 19-11 lead on the way to winning the first set (25-17) by eight points. The second set followed a similar pattern as the Eagles built a 21-10 lead en route to a 25-12 win.
NCCU led 16-7 in the third set but a brief rally by Norfolk State closed the gap to 23-18. A kill by Harper from Cripa Nasser and a Norfolk State attack error clinched the match for the Eagles.

- Harper's double-double was her fourth this season and 11th of her career.
- This was the second time the Eagles beat an opponent in three sets this season.
