NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina Central University redshirt sophomore Kayden Cupid of the volleyball team has been named to the 2024 MEAC All-Rookie Team announced by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Thursday evening ahead of the 2024 MEAC Volleyball Championships on Nov. 22-24 in Dover, Del.
Cupid (MH, Supply, N.C.) spent her first season with NCCU this year after redshirting at Georgia Southern University and not playing at Coastal Carolina University prior to arriving in the Nest.
In her first college season in action, Cupid's season-highs included 14 kills against Charlotte and eight blocks versus Murray State University.
Ending the regular season in the top-10 in blocks in the conference, Cupid averaged 0.72 blocks per set (55.0 total). She also averaged 1.60 kills per set.
The Eagles get ready to battle in the 2024 MEAC Volleyball Championships on Friday, Nov. 22 playing the hosts Delaware State University at 8:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall Gym.
