NCCU Tennis Day: Meet Tennis Teams on April 4 during 10:40 Break

DURHAM N.C. - The North Carolina Central University men's and women's tennis teams are hosting NCCU Tennis Day during the 10:40 a.m. break on Tuesday, April 4 at the Dr. James W. Younge Tennis Courts, located behind McDougald-McLendon Arena.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the NCCU men's and women's tennis teams, while learning fun facts about the game and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Southern section.

The tennis courts will be open for free-play of friendly matches. There will be snacks and drinks provided, as well as giveaways.

The NCCU Tennis Day event is open to all NCCU students, faculty and staff, and the public is welcome and encouraged to join in the festivities, according to NCCU director of tennis D. Curtis Lawson.

The USTA Southern Foundation is a proud sponsor of the event. The mission of the USTA Foundation is to bring tennis and education together to change lives. Using this powerful combination, they help serve up dreams for under-resourced youth; individuals with disabilities; and wounded, ill and injured service members, veterans and their families.
