Bella Dearinger set up 30-plus assists in NCCU's attack for the seventh time this season.
Graduate student
Jeslyn Spencer led both teams in kills, earning 10 points for the Eagles with a close to .500 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Emmie Modlin wasn't far behind, spiking nine kills. Spencer and Modlin had eight and six digs respectively.
Junior
Loren Johnson led NCCU's defense with 16 digs and hit two service aces and assists. Aside from Dearinger's 33 assists, she also had four digs. Sophomore
Neira Joldic collected seven digs as well.
Sophomore
Kamren Harper had eight kills and freshman
Amarah Johnson earned six kills. Johnson contributed a block, along with graduate student
Isa Dostal who recorded two blocks and five kills. The Eagles combined for 39 kills for the match.
Kiyah Felder of SC State led her team with 10 points from nine kills and one block. Friday's victory marks the 17
th win in a row against the Bulldogs.
NCCU volleyball returns to McDougald-McLendon Arena next Friday, Oct. 20 for a 6 p.m. match against Norfolk State.
