NC Central played West Virginia three times in a four-year span as the Eagles transitioned from the NCAA Division II to Division I ranks from 2008 to 2011. In the last meeting on Nov. 20, 2011, which was NCCU' women's basketball first month of competition as permanent DI members, the Mountaineers won 97-24 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
