NO. 9 – North Carolina Central University sophomore Daniel Barbare shot four-over-par in the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship to finish in third place out of 45 golfers on the Division I leaderboard during the three-day tournament (May 3-5, 2021) at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Barbare's third-place performance is the best finish for an NCCU Eagle at the PGA event as a Division I competitor, dating back to 2009. The only other top-5 individual efforts for NCCU were achieved by Jordan Bohannon in 2016 and Chris Winters in 2009, who both placed fifth.

Barbare (Raleigh, N.C.) posted scores of 76, 71 and 81 for a 228 total score.
