ORANGEBURG, S.C. – North Carolina Central University junior Ivana Dragovic captured the lone point for the Eagles in a 6-1 loss to South Carolina State University in MEAC southern division women's tennis action on Saturday.
 
Dragovic and SC State foe Lasya Patnaik exchanged the first two sets at the fourth singles position, with Dragovic winning the first 6-2 and Patnaik claiming the second 6-3. Dragovic earned the match victory by earning the third set 10-3.
 
NCCU freshman Jade Houston played a tight match at the third singles spot, but fell to SC State's Andejela Mihajovic by scores of 6-4, 6-4.
 
NCCU returns to the courts on Tuesday, April 6, when the Eagles host Coastal Carolina.
