NORFOLK, Va. — North Carolina Central University middle blocker
Ammaarah Williams was selected to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) All-Rookie Team as announced by the league office Tuesday.
Williams becomes the third Lady Eagle to earn such distinction in the past two seasons, joining

Williams reached double-digit kills in four matches, including a season-high 16 kills in a 3-2 win over Bethune-Cookman University. She registered eight blocks in a pair of matches, including eight block assists in a 3-1 victory over The Citadel. Her season-best four aces helped NCCU to a 3-2 conquest of Coppin State University.
The native of Cleveland, Ohio, ranks fifth in the MEAC with a .300 hitting percentage. She tallied a hitting percentage over .600 with eight kills each time in a pair of wins (The Citadel, South Carolina State University).
Williams was named an NCCU Iron Eagle award recipient for strength and conditioning at the 2019 Eddies.
