GREENVILLE, N.C. — The East Carolina University women's tennis team won 90 of 97 games played in completing a 7-0 victory over visiting North Carolina Central University on Thursday afternoon at the River Birch Tennis Center.

Jamie Rogers battled a nationally ranked opponent in No. 52 junior Celia Ruiz atop the lineup.

The Pirates leveled their record to 1-1 while the Lady Eagles slipped to 0-2.
NCCU will host Western Carolina University in its home opener on Saturday at 1 p.m.
