NORFOLK, N.C. — North Carolina Central University outside hitter
Arlanda Faulkner and middle blocker
Morgan Goodwin were selected to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) All-Rookie Team as announced by the league office Wednesday.
Faulkner and Goodwin become the first two Lady Eagles to earn such distinction since the conference created an All-Rookie Team in 2016. They are the first two postseason award winners for third-year head coach
Jody Brown and first two postseason honorees since Kelsey Murphy garnered All-MEAC attention in 2014 and 2015.
Faulkner had an impressive first regular season, leading the maroon and gray with 2.33 kills and 0.28 aces per set. She has played in 23 matches, including 21 starts, and has reached double-digit kills in six matches, including a double-double of 21 kills and 16 digs in a win against Bethune-Cookman University.
