Eagles Drop Contest at Cincinnati

Box Score CINCINNATI, OHIO – North Carolina Central University knocked down eight three-pointers on the road at Cincinnati, but the Bearcats were able to come away with a 73-51 win at Fifth Third Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
 
NCCU (0-2) hung tight with UC (1-1) in the opening stanzas, and stayed close with the Bearcats until the hosts went on a run to open up space between the two sides.  UC closed the half on a 16-7 run and took a 34-19 lead to the break.
 
The Eagles put up 32 points in the second half, but couldn't catch the Bearcats on the way to a 73-51 final score.  Randy Miller Jr. (Odenton, Md.) nailed five three-pointers and put in a game-high 21 points to lead the way for the Eagles, and Raasean Davis (Chicago, Ill.) pulled down a game-high 12 boards with eight points.  Zacarry Douglas (Landover, Md.) contributed seven points and six rebounds for the maroon and gray, as well.
 
UC had four players reach double-digits, led by Keith Williams with 15 points.  Tre Scott had 12 points for the Bearcats, and both Jarron Cumberland and Justin Jenifer finished with 10 points, with Jenifer adding six assists to his line.
 
NCCU will finish the Ohio trip at Bowling Green on Thursday, Nov. 15.
