De'Mario: "Dealing with my major helped me figure out a few things about myself and the people around me."
Q: Why did you choose NCCU?
DE: "I chose NCCU because I felt it was the best decision for me and my family all around, not just for football. I felt a different connection with the coaches compared to the other schools."
Q: What is your major? What do you want to do after NCCU?
DE: "My major is behavioral and social science. I have multiple plans after NCCU. I'll rock with whatever is the best opportunity for me when that time comes."
Q: What do you like most about being an NCCU Eagle?
DE: "Playing in O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium with the support from the community and alumni."
Q: What has been your most memorable moment at NCCU?
DE: "Going to Atlanta for the Celebration Bowl my first year in 2016."
Q: What is your favorite part of game day at O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium?
DE: "The vibe here. It's just a little different."
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals?
DE: "Visualize and pray."
Q: Why football?
DE: "It's something I love. I can use football to get away from a lot of things. Playing football frees my mind up and I have fun."
Q: What three words best describe you?
DE: "Love. Loyalty. Respect."
Q: How would you like to be remembered from your playing days at NCCU?
DE: "As a good example for future NCCU student-athletes."
Q: If you could invite any living person to WG Pearson dining hall for lunch, who would it be and why?
DE: "I would invite my daughter. I'll invite her just because that's my girl and it's an opportunity to spend time with her."
