DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University volleyball team will gear up for the 2017 season with its annual Maroon and Gray scrimmage on Wednesday, Aug. 16, and fans are encouraged to come out and Meet the Eagles that evening with festivities beginning at 6 p.m.

Jody Brown and the Lady Eagles' volleyball team invite fans to watch the scrimmage inside McDougald-McLendon Arena. Admission is free for the event as well as all home volleyball matches.
Along with having the chance to get a first look at this season's squad of 16 student-athletes there will be giveaways for fans, pictures with Eddie the Eagle and a post-scrimmage meet-and-greet with the players and coaches.
NCCU volleyball will begin its 2017 season in the Hampton Inn Holly Springs Invitational hosted by Campbell University on Friday-Saturday, Aug. 25-26. The Lady Eagles will play the first of their eight home regular-season matches against Gardner-Webb University on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m.
