DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team concludes a season-long, six-game road swing with games at East Carolina University (Dec. 14), Presbyterian College (Dec. 17) and Elon University (Dec. 19) before heading into the winter break by hosting Campbell University on Thursday, Dec. 21.

N.C. Central Women's Basketball
The Eagles are coming off a 99-58 loss at Iowa State University on Sunday. NCCU (2-6 Overall) is 0-5 on the road and 2-1 at home.
Junior
Rodneysha Martin tops the Eagles with 14.9 points and 2.5 assists per game. Martin is shooting 88.2% from the free throw line, which ranks first in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and in the top-50 of NCAA Division I.
The Eagles are the MEAC's top free throw shooting squad at 73.9%.
Junior
Jayla Calhoun is NCCU's only other double-digit scorer at 10.2 points per game, but she has missed three games due to injury. Classmate
Caira Benton is the Eagles top shooter from the field at 47.2% and is bucketing 6.8 points per game. Calhoun and Benton are NCCU's top rebounders by each averaging over four rebounds per game.
NCCU will be playing ECU for the first time since a 65-28 road loss on Dec. 4, 2012.
The Eagles lost their last showdown with Presbyterian, 72-63, last season in Durham. Martin supplied 16 points and three assists before fouling out.
NCCU will be playing Elon for the first time since fully joining the DI ranks. The Eagles dropped a close 49-43 affair to the Phoenix in their last meeting on Nov. 12, 2007.
The Eagles were doubled up by Campbell, 61-30, last season in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Sophomore

Kierona Morton led NCCU with seven and six points, respectively.
East Carolina Women's Basketball
The Pirates have won four straight games and are coming off a 66-56 road victory at Kennesaw State University on Monday. ECU (5-4 Overall) is 3-2 at home.
Senior center Thais Oliveira is producing team-high marks of 10.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game and is second on the team with 1.7 steals per game. Freshman Ariyana Williams is making an immediate impact with 9.7 points per game.
Sophomore Dominique Claytor is coming up with 2.6 steals per game for a Pirates program that ranks in the top-15 of NCAA Division I with 12.3 steals per game. Claytor also averages 8.4 points per game.
ECU – picked 12th in the American Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll – is 4-0 against NCCU since the Eagles started competing at the varsity level.
Presbyterian Women's Basketball
The Blue Hose have lost their last five games, including a 91-56 road setback at the University of North Carolina in their last game on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Presbyterian (1-7 Overall) will be playing for the first time in 12 days and it will be just its second home game.
Senior guard Cortney Storey, who has earned Big South Conference honors each of her first three seasons at PC, continues to lead the Blue Hose with 15.3 points and 5.3 assists per game. She is an 84.8-percent free throw shooter who adds 3.4 rebounds per game.
Sophomore guard Kacie Hall and senior guard Janie Miles contribute over nine points apiece. Hall is coming up with a team-best 1.5 steals per game and Miles is PC's top three-point threat (2.25 made 3-pointers per game).
Presbyterian has a negative 14.0 rebounding margin after playing a tough early season schedule that includes losses to nationally ranked programs at UCLA and Duke.
Storey had 22 points, eight assists and three steals in last season's nine-point victory over NCCU while Miles chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.
Elon Women's Basketball
The Phoenix are coming off a 75-58 road win at Davidson College on Wednesday. Elon (7-2) is ranked No. 6 in the current CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 Poll and will visit North Carolina State University on Saturday before hosting the Lady Eagles on Tuesday.
Senior guard Shay Burnett is the Colonial Athletic Association Preseason Player of the Year and she is providing 13.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
Sophomore center Ra'Shika White is Elon's top scorer at 14.3 points per game even though she has not started a game this season. She also adds 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
Elon's deep post also includes senior center Malaya Johnson, another All-CAA honoree, who is contributing 11.4 pints and 6.4 rebounds per game.
The defending CAA champions and NCAA Tournament participant ranks fourth in NCAA Division I with a positive 15.2 rebounding margin.
Campbell Women's Basketball
The Camels picked up a 58-51 home win against Western Carolina University in their last trip to the hardwood on Dec. 4. Campbell (5-2 Overall) will host Columbia International on Thursday and Norfolk State on Monday before visiting Durham next Thursday.
Senior guard Summer Price is an All-Big South selection who leads the Camels with 16.9 points per game.
Senior guard Makala Rouse and junior guard Caroline Bowns follow by each scoring an average of 7.7 points per game. Rouse tops the squad with 4.3 assists per game and Bowns is shotting 44% from three-point distance and 90% from the free throw line.
Sophomore forward Taya Bolden, who adds 6.0 points per game, is Campbell's top rebounder at 9.1 boards per contest. The Camels are outrebounding their opponents by an average of 10.6 rebounds.
Campbell ranks in the top-10 of NCAA Division I by holding opponents to just 53.1 points per game.
Price tallied 13 points in the Camels 31-point triumph over NCCU last season. The Eagles were held to 23.4% shooting from Campbell's stingy defense.
