BALTIMORE, Md. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball will play the middle game of a three-game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) road swing at Morgan State University on Saturday at 2 p.m.

NCCU (4-19, 2-10) lost its seventh consecutive MEAC game on Thursday, falling to host Coppin State, 63-46, late. The Lady Eagles were within four points of CSU with six minutes left in the fourth quarter before being outscored 16-3 down the stretch. Senior
Tisha Dixon, who leads NCCU with 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, recorded her third double-double of the season (10th career) with 14 points and 14 rebounds Thursday. Junior
Morgan Jones follows Dixon with 10.4 points per game and leads the Lady Eagles with 2.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Senior
Kristin Askew, who did not play Thursday, follows with 7.1 points per game. NCCU has a +32 rebounding advantage in its last four games as the Lady Eagles have six players averaging at least 3.7 rebounds per game.
MSU (9-15, 6-6) has won eight of its last 10 games to stay in contention for the MEAC regular season title despite losing to league frontrunner Hampton, 60-47, on Monday. The Lady Bears are in a three-way tie for second place in the standings, a half-game behind the Pirates. A quartet of sophomores lead MSU in scoring: Braennan Farrar (14.7), Tykyrah Williams (10.4), Lexus Spears (8.6) and Zuri White (5.2). Farrar, who gets a lot points from the free throw line with 91 made free throws (2nd MEAC) at 79.1-percent clip (3rd MEAC), also paces the Lady Bears with 3.3 assists and 2.1 steals per game. White and Spears average 7.7 and 6.9 rebounds per contests, respectively.
