DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will play five games over the final two weeks of the regular season. The final 14-day stretch begins with a rescheduled Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) road tilt at Coppin State University on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Fans who cannot attend the game in CSU Physical Education Complex, can listen to the MEAC showdown on the NCCU Sports Network, with

NCCU (4-18, 2-9) has lost its last six MEAC games, including a 69-54 home setback to Florida A&M on Monday. However, the Lady Eagles did win their last road game at Johnson & Wales heading into Thursday's road contest. Junior guard

Tisha Dixon continue to lead NCCU in scoring by averaging just over 10 points per game apiece. Jones also paces the Lady Eagles with 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Dixon, who pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds against FAMU on Monday, is NCCU's top rebounder at 7.3 boards per game. Senior

Dominique Adams provide scoring depth for the Maroon and Gray with averages of 7.1 and 5.5 points per game, respectively.
CSU (8-15, 5-6) ended a four-game skid to start February by defeating Delaware State, 84-79, on Monday. The Lady Eagles do hold a winning 5-3 ledger at home. Coppin State's top six scorers all average within 4.1 points of each other with senior Janelle Lane topping the half dozen Lady Eagles with 11.8 points per game. Junior Keena Samuels, who is averaging 11.5 points per game, is trying to catch Lane by averaging 15.0 points per game in league play. Senior Omaah Tayong chips in nearly as many rebounds (8.5 rpg) as points (9.5 ppg). Sophomore guard Genesis Lucas leads the MEAC with 4.4 assists per game while CSU leads the MEAC with 9.3 steals per game.
