DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will play the first of two consecutive road games at "Power Five" conference schools on Sunday when the Lady Eagles play tipoff at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, at 1 p.m.

N.C. Central Women's Basketball
The Lady Eagles suffered their third consecutive loss last Saturday in falling to Wofford College, 64-54, at home. NCCU (1-5 Overall) is 0-3 on the road.
Sophomore forward
Deja McCain had a big game against the Terriers, scoring 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds (both career highs). McCain is averaging 7.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
Freshman guard
Jada Blow has made an immediate impact for the Lady Eagles. She has not started a game yet, but is playing the second most minutes (30.2). Blow tops NCCU with 10.7 points per game – including 1.8 made 3-pointers – and 3.0 assists and 2.8 steals per contest.
The maroon and gray has three other players averaging over six points per game in senior guard
Morgan Jones (9.2), sophomore guard
Dominique Adams (7.0) and freshman forward
Erin Houser (6.2). Adams paces NCCU with 5.5 rebounds per game and is followed closely by Jones at 5.2 rebounds per contest.
NCCU is making more steals than its opponents while not turning over the ball as much, but the Lady Eagles still look to improve on their 28.3-percent field goal percentage on the season.
NCCU will be playing Purdue for the first time in program history.
Purdue Women's Basketball
The Boilermakers have rattled off four consecutive wins, including a 58-42 road win in their last tilt at Ball State University on Wednesday. Purdue (7-4 Overall) is 3-1 at home and finished sixth in the Big Ten last season.
Senior guard Ashley Morrissette, who was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection last season, leads the Boilermakers with 15.2 points, 4.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Freshman guard Dominique Oden follows Morrissette with 11.5 points per game.
Purdue's next four scorers in Bridget Perry (9.2 points/game), Andreona Keys (8.6), Dominique McBryde (6.5) and Ae'Rianna Harris (5.4) are all averaging around 5-6 rebounds per contest.
Perry and Harris also average over one block per game for a Biolermakers' squad swatting away nearly five shots per game.
Purdue has competed in the NCCA tournament in eight of its first 10 seasons under head coach Sharon Versyp.
