DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will conclude the 2016 portion of its schedule with a road game at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina on Friday at 7 p.m.

N.C. Central Women's Basketball
The Lady Eagles look to end a seven-game skid when they start competition after the holiday break. NCCU last played on Dec. 20 and lost at home to Presbyterian College, 72-63. The Lady Eagles led by eight at halftime before stumbling in the second half.
NCCU had its best shooting performance against the Blue Hose, making over 40-percent of its shots for the first time this season. However, the Lady Eagles committed over 20 turnovers for a second straight contest.
Senior
Morgan Jones leads the maroon and gray with 10 points per game, including 1.5 made 3-pointers per contest. Jones has scored in double digits in six of 10 games.
Five NCCU players average between 5-9 points per game in freshman

Martin is coming off a career-high, 16-point performance. Blow leads the team with 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Adams and McCain are tied atop the team with 4.9 rebounds per contest and Adams tops the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference by playing 35 minutes per game.
Jones led NCCU to a 66-61 home win over Furman last year with 17 points and seven rebounds. Adams also reached double-figure scoring in that tilt with 11 points. It marked the first meeting between the two programs.
Furman Women's Basketball
The Paladins snapped a five-game losing streak on Wednesday with an 84-62 home win against Gardner-Webb University. Furman (5-9) is 5-2 at home in Timmons Arena.
Senior point guard Whitney Bunn – who is a two-time All-Southern Conference performer – leads the Paladins with 15.4 points and 4.8 assists per game. Bunn, who is swishing 2.4 made 3-pointers per outing, is coming off a 29-point performance in leading Furman to the win over the Runnin' Bulldogs.
Junior forward Cierra Carter is second on the team with 11.2 points per game and tops the squad with 8.6 rebounds per contest. Freshman guard Le'Jzae Davidson is a third Paladin scoring in double figures with an average of 10.7 points per game.
Bunn played all 40 minutes against NCCU last season and scored a team-high 17 points. Carter just missed a double-double in that showdown with 16 points and nine rebounds.
