BOX SCOREGREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina Central University coasted to a 6-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's tennis victory over rival North Carolina A&T University at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center Friday.

Thomas Persico all won without losing a game to highlight the Eagles victory.
NCCU improved to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in the MEAC Southern Division. NCAT remained winless at 0-16 and 0-3.
Freshman Kkert Kilumets (6-1, 6-2) and sophomore
William East (6-0, 7-6) also won in straight sets for the Maroon and Gray.
Gerasimov (11-1) and East (9-4) both extended their individual win streaks to 11 and eight matches, respectively. Kilumets (6-5) moved over .500 playing atop the lineup and Kienka (2-5) won his second straight contest.
The Eagles flew out to the 1-nil advantage with a pair of 8-0 wins in doubles by the tandems of Persico with Kilumets and Gerasimov with senior
Jamal Hoyte.
Freshman Brett Caban kept the Aggies from being swept with a narrow 7-6, 7-5 triumph in the fourth tier singles slot.
NCCU next hosts Davidson College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
