DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball concludes a three-game road swing in the Upstate part of South Carolina with a non-conference clash at Presbyterian College in Clinton on Monday at 5 p.m.

Jayla Calhoun had their best performances yet in their rookie seasons with nine and eight points, respectively. Senior
Tisha Dixon continues to lead NCCU with 10.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. Junior
Morgan Jones, who is averaging 9.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game, has missed the last two games due to injury. NCCU will be playing the Blue Hose for a seventh consecutive season and is 3-3 overall and 2-1 in Clinton, South Carolina, against PC. Senior
Kristin Askew scored seven points in a 45-33 loss to the Blue Hose last season in Durham. NCCU's 31.1-percent field goal percentage ranks 343rd out of 344 DI programs.
PRESBYTERIAN (4-6) returns home after a long road trip, losing at Colorado, 72-60, on Saturday. The Blue Hose are 3-1 at home and three of their four wins are against non-DI opposition. PC's only common opponent so far this season was Longwood, who the Blue Hose defeated 59-38 (NCCU lost to LU, 60-49). Freshman Taylor Petty has made an immediate impact for PC by leading the squad with 12.7 points per game, including 2.7 made 3-pointers per contest. Freshman Salina Virola is second on the team with 9.1 points/game while Ainna Kelly (8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds), Cortney Storey (8.0 points, 1.7 blocks) and Rebecca Walker (6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds) have started all 10 games. Junior Janie Miles hit 5 of 7 shots from 3-point distance and scored a team-high 21 points in the Blue Hose win over NCCU last season.
