DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will play its fourth consecutive road game in a fourth different state to conclude an 11-day road swing with an in-state contest at the Charlotte 49ers on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
NCCU fans in the Charlotte area can attend a pregame Eagle Pride Reception at 5 p.m. at the Barnhardt Student Activity Center on the UNC Charlotte campus. Any guest in attendance that joins the Eagle Club or donates $50 to

Dominique Adams, who pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds at Winthrop, with 6.8 rebounds per game. NCCU does hold a +1.5 rebounding margin against its opponents with sophomore
Kierona Morton also averaging 5.0 rebounds per game. Juniors
Monique Whaley-Briggs and
Morgan Jones are second and third on the team in scoring with 6.8 and 5.8 points per game, respectively.
CHARLOTTE is coming off weekend wins over Mercer and Georgia State to win the GSU Thanksgiving Classic and move over .500 at 4-2. The 49ers feature a veteran lineup with letter winners junior guard Ciara Gregory (15.8 points/game), senior forward Alexis Alexander (14.3), senior forward Kira Gordon (14.2) and junior guard Lefty Webster (13.2) leading a balanced offense. Gregory paces the Charlotte scorers with 3.0 made 3-pointers per game. Alexander (7.3 rebounds/game) and Webster (6.5), a Second Team All-Conference USA honoree, pacing the 49ers on the glass. Freshman Laia Raventos has started all six games and is averaging 7.3 points, 5.0 assists and 1.8 steals.
