NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina Central guards Victoria Morris and Eboni Clay were named to the 2026-27 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Basketball Preseason Watch List on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Morris and Clay were among 15 players named on the watch list. The duo, along with first-year Head Coach Olivia Gaines, will represent the Eagles at the MEAC Men's and Women's Basketball Media Day on Oct. 23 in Baltimore.

Morris enters her junior season after two solid years at NCCU. Gaines anticipates a breakout season from the Rock Hill, S.C., native.

Clay is a junior transfer who played under Gaines at Allen. The Portland, Ore., native became the first Allen player to earn Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Freshman of the Year honors. Clay also was an All-SIAC selection.
