KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The North Carolina Central University women's bowling team, charged by sophomore
Rachael Johnson and senior
Rae'Shelle Drayton, captured five match victories during the 2015 Kutztown Invitational on Jan. 23-25.
In traditional matches, the Lady Eagles defeated Medaille, 774-740; Pitt-Bradford, 809-771; and Mount Aloysius, 819-652.
In baker matches, NCCU beat conference foe Morgan State, 860-841; then topped Pitt-Bradford again, three games to four in the first round of a best-of-seven bracket.
NCCU finished the weekend event in 24th place out of 27 teams.
Johnson led the Lady Eagles with a six-game average of 173.8, including a high game of 202, while Drayton posted a 172.8 six-game average with a high game of 220.
Kourtney Rodez averaged 166.3, followed by Kiera Leggett at 147.7 and Diondre Smith at 118.5.
