NCCU MEN’S TENNIS HOSTS SHAW ON FRIDAY FOR SENIOR DAY

DURHAM, N.C. – Prior to North Carolina Central University's final home men's tennis match of the season on Friday (April 11 at 1 p.m.) versus Shaw University, NCCU head coach Curtis Lawson and the rest of the team will honor the Eagles' lone senior, Stephan Charles-Donatien.

A native of France, Charles-Donatien transferred to NCCU for his final two seasons of college tennis. The senior made history in the fall of 2013 when he defeated an opponent from North Carolina (UNC-Chapel Hill) in the ITA regional tournament - a first for NCCU.

NCCU enters its final home match with an overall record of 6-11, while Shaw, a NCAA Division II member of the CIAA, boasts a 10-4 overall mark.

NCCU wraps up the regular season on Saturday (April 12) in Petersburg, Va., by playing Virginia State at 11 a.m. and Maryland Eastern Shore at 3 p.m.
