DURHAM, N.C. - The North Carolina Central University women's basketball program returns home after a six-game road stretch, wrapping up the 2014 year, hosting Presbyterian College on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m., in McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium. Admission is free.
The Lady Eagles (2-9, 0-2) still look to snap their largest losing streak since the 2012-13 season (NCCU opened the 2012-13 season 0-23) and capture the programs second December victory under head coach
Vanessa Taylor after a 67-52 defeat at Coastal Carolina Wednesday (Dec. 17).
The Blue Hose (5-5, 1-1 Big South) are coming off of a 66-50 defeat at UNC Charlotte on Thursday (Dec. 18), while Presbyterian has split league action with a win over Gardner-Webb and loss at High Point.
NCCU and PC have each faced Western Carolina and Gardner-Webb this season, both defeating the Catamounts (NCCU 65-59 and PC 51-44) while the Lady Eagles fell 73-53 in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, and the Blue Hose picked up a 55-50 win over the Runnin' Bulldogs. Â

Racquel Davis remains the lone Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference member to average a double-double with 14.7 points per game and 10.0 boards. Additionally,
Khyra Conerly pours in 9.7 points per contest for NCCU while leading the team with 2.1 steals a game. Â
Presbyterian is currently led by redshirt junior Keyonna Allen's 8.9 ppg and Aianna Kelly's 10.9 boards.
THE SERIESPC currently leads the all-time series with NCCU 3-2. The Lady Eagles captured their first season-opening victory after the Division I transition over the Blue Hose on Nov. 14, 2013 in Clinton, South Carolina with a 55-44 win last season.

Khyra Conerly (Oakland, California) earned the season-first MEAC Player of the Week honors, following the 2014-15 opening week, the league announced Monday, Nov. 17 while also grabbing College Sports Madness MEAC Player of the Week honors after week one.

NCCU returns 8 letterwinners and three starters this season from a squad that went 11-19 overall in 6-10 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play, finishing ninth in the regular season a year ago.
