Game Notes: PDFCONWAY, S.C. - The North Carolina Central University women's basketball program looks to end its longest loss streak since head coach
Vanessa Taylor's first season at the realm (NCCU opened the 2012-13 season 0-23), as the Lady Eagles travel to Conway, South Carolina, ending their six-game road stretch, facing the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Wednesday, Dec. 17 in the HTC Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
NCCU (2-8, 0-2 MEAC) looks to capture its second December victory under Taylor and snap a five-game loss streak, after a 70-25 loss at No. 20/22 Syracuse (Dec. 14) set the Lady Eagles back to 1-15 during the holiday month over the past three seasons. NCCU's lone December victory came a season ago, Dec. 19, 2013 when the Lady Eagles defeated Western Carolina 73-69 at home.
The Chanticleers (6-2, 1-0 Big South) are fresh off their first Big South victory of the season after cursing to a 75-42 road-win over Radford (Dec.13).

Racquel Davis heads the scoring (14.7) and rebounding (9.7), while
Rachel Williams and
Khyra Conerly average 1.6 assists and 2.0 steals respectively for NCCU.
Coastal is currently led by redshirt junior Stephanie Isaacas' 15.0 ppg and Alexis Robinson's 10.9 boards.

Morgan Jones (Stockbrdige, Georgia) and
Tia Clement (Winston-Salem, North Carolina) earned career-best scoring performances at Campbell, as Jones tied her 14 points scored at WCU, and Clement put up a career-high 10 points, shooting 3-for-5 from behind the arc.

Khyra Conerly (Oakland, California) earned the season-first MEAC Player of the Week honors, following the 2014-15 opening week, the league announced Monday, Nov. 17 while also grabbing College Sports Madness MEAC Player of the Week honors after week one.

NCCU returns 8 letterwinners and three starters this season from a squad that went 11-19 overall in 6-10 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play, finishing ninth in the regular season a year ago.
