DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team looks for its first home victory as the Lady Eagles take on the UNC Asheville Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 28 in McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
After falling to Winthrop 71-63 during the Lady Eagles (1-3) home opener on Tuesday, NCCU looks to grab its second win of the season against the 1-3 Bulldogs and knot the series recorded between the two programs.
Asheville currently holds the 3-2 all-time series lead over the Lady Eagles, although during the last meeting, a season ago (Nov. 23, 2013), NCCU was able to pull of the 76-65 victory over the Bulldogs, while

NCCU returns 8 letterwinners and three starters this season from a squad that went 11-19 overall in 6-10 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play, finishing ninth in the regular season a year ago.

The Lady Eagles were picked to finish tenth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference preseason poll by the league's coaches and sports information directors.
