DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After coming off a first ever, history-making 71-64 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday, the North Carolina Central University women's basketball team continues Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference road action on Monday, Jan. 13 as the Lady Eagles play visitors to the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats at 5 p.m.

Freshman Kailyn Williams and junior Kayla Crawford top the Lady Wildcats on the boards, with 5.7 and 4.9 RPG. Williams also retains her MEAC lead in blocks for the fourth consecutive week with 2.67 BPG.
Davis on the Double

Junior Racquel Davis has collected five double-doubles this season (at Presbyterian, at South Florida, vs. Gardner-Webb and vs. Western Carolina, at Florida A&M), averaging a team-best 13.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest.

Davis earned a season-best 15 rebounds at Presbyterian (Nov. 14) and 27 points at Florida A&M (Jan. 11).

Despite never leading during the first half, the NCCU snapped its four-game losing streak, opening Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for the first time since the Division-I transition with a victory, as the Lady Eagles defeated the Florida A&M Lady Rattlers for the first time in school history, 71-64 on Saturday.

Junior Racquel Davis led NCCU earning her fifth double-double of the season and topping her previous season-high of 21, collecting a game-best 27 points and pulling down 11 boards. Davis shot an impressive 10-for-13 from the field, 7-for-9 from the charity stripe and seized seven of her 11 rebounds on the offensive end.

In addition, senior Tiffany Gary collected her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 6-for-7 from the field while junior Khyra Conerly (Oakland, Calif.) collected 10 points and a team-best three steals.
