Eagle Talk: MEAC Football Preview Edition (Audio link)
DURHAM, N.C. – Eagle Talk, the 30-minute weekly talk show highlighting all 14 sports at North Carolina Central University, will be moving to Café Renaissance which is located steps away from campus, the NCCU Sports Network announced on Wednesday.
"Café Renaissance is extremely excited to partner with NCCU Athletics," said Café Renaissance Owner/Manager Randall Evans. "Eagle Talk will be a great vessel for fans to meet and greet the coaches and student-athletes, while also enjoying the wonderful food and atmosphere our restaurant has to offer. We are so glad to be a part of the Eagle family and look forward to a having a great relationship with them."
Eagle Talk will also be moving its air time to 12:30 p.m. to better suit the lunch crowd as fans are encouraged to show up to Café Renaissance and enjoy lunch with their fellow Eagles.
"We are truly excited to be joining up with Café Renaissance and moving Eagle Talk to their great location," said NCCU Director of Athletics Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree. "It's a partnership that both parties will benefit from and we encourage all of the Eagle family to make the short trip and show your support for the show and the restaurant."
Beginning Aug. 13, the NCCU Sports Network will kickoff its move to Café Renaissance by airing an hour-long MEAC Preview Show as play-by-play voice Chris Hooks and color analyst Joe Simmons will break down the league from top to bottom and give expert analysis on the 2013 football season.
Hooks will give a rundown of every team in the league as they were voted in the preseason poll from No. 11 all the way to No. 1.
Third year head coach Henry Frazier III will also be on hand as a guest on the show to update fans on the progress of his squad during training camp.

The 2013 football season is just around the corner as the Bull City Gridiron Classic against Duke takes place on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 4:00 p.m. from Wallace Wade Stadium.
