PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – During Sunday’s final round of the 27th PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship in Port St. Lucie, Fla., North Carolina Central University could not match the standard it set on Saturday, as the Eagles remained in seventh place in the final team standings.

After posting a 307 team score in the second round, NCCU notched a 323 on Sunday to finish with a three-round team total of 942 (312+307+323).

NCCU junior Spencer Jones led the way on Sunday with a team-low score of 78 (+6) on the 6,840-yard Wanamaker Course at The PGA Golf Club. Freshman Michael Wilson carded a 79 in the final round to match his rookie season’s 54-hole tournament low score of 236 (81+76+79).

NCCU junior Glendon Mabe, who opened the event with scores of 74 and 71 (-1), slid on Sunday to an 84. He finished in a tie for 20th on the NCAA Division I individual leaderboard.

Rounding out the final round scores for NCCU were junior Andre Jones with an 82 and freshman Garreth Carpenter with a 93.
