NCCU MEN'S TENNIS DROPS TWO IN PUERTO RICO

Eagles Fall to Colgate and Florida A&M

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – The North Carolina Central University men’s tennis team dropped two matches during the week falling to Colgate 5-2 on Tuesday, March 12 and Florida A&M 6-1 on Thursday, March 14 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

During day one, the Eagles fell to Colgate 5-2 after fist losing all three doubles matches and then coming up victorious in two out of six singles matches. In the No. 1 spot Daniil Gerasimov defeated Colgate’s Luke Gensburg 5-7, 6-1, 10-1, and Fabrice George beat Mark Pronchick in the No. 4 spot, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Against the FAMU Rattlers, NCCU was swept 6-1, with the Eagles only victory due to default in the No. 6 singles spot.

The Eagles fall to 1-7 on the season.
