Lady Eagles Against the Big South
• NCCU is currently 2-1 against Big South opponents during the 2013-14 season.
• The Lady Eagles defeated the Blue Hose from Presbyterian, 55-44, on Nov. 14 in their first season-opening victory since the transition to division I in Clinton, S.C and the UNCA Bulldogs on Nov. 23 in a 76-65 victory.
• NCCU dropped its first game of the season, 66-55, to Big South foe, Coastal Carolina, on Sunday, Nov.17 in McDougald-McLendon Gym.

• Jessica Freeman, who wears number one, has lead the Lady Eagles offensively during the 2013-14 season.
• Freeman is coming off of a seaon-high 24 point performance on Nov. 23 at UNC Asheville.
• On the season, Freeman has shot 23-of-64 from the field, 7-of-27 from behind the arc and 9-of-11 from the foul line.
• Additionally, the redshirt senior leads NCCU in assists, dishing out a team-high 15 helpers.
Lady Eagles on the Double
• A Lady Eagle has earned a double-double during 3-of-4 of NCCU's match-ups this season.
• Junior transfer Racquel Davis seized her first double-double in a Lady Eagle uniform during the season-opening match-up against Presbyterian (Nov. 14) earning 14 points and 15 rebounds while adding a second at USF (Nov. 20) with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
• Senior Tiffany Gary earned her first double-double against Coastal Carolina (Nov. 17) collecting 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Last Time Out
• Redshirt senior Jessica Freeman (Charlotte, N.C.) and junior Khyra Conerly (Oakland, Calif.) each earned new season-highs and combined for a total of 47 points during the North Carolina Central University women's basketball team's 76-65 victory over the UNC Asheville Bulldogs on Saturday, Nov. 23 inside Kimmel Arena in Asheville, N.C.
• Freeman finished with a game-best 24 points, shooting 9-of-17 from the field, 1-of-4 from three point land and a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe while also contributing a team-best six assists, three rebounds and two steals.
• Conerly more than tripled her season-best of seven, scoring 23 points during the Lady Eagles victory, shooting 6-of-16 from the field and 11-of-13 from the free throw line. The 5-8 guard contributed an additional seven boards, four steals, three helpers and one block.
• As a team, NCCU shot 26-of-57 from the field (45.6 percent), 3-of-8 from behind the arc (37.5%) and 21-of-28 from the free throw line while also pulling down 41 rebounds, dishing 12 assists, blocking eight shots and collecting 12 steals.
Scouting the Runnin' Bulldogs
• The Runnin' Bulldogs have started the 2013-14 seasson 4-0, with all four of their victory at home.
• During their last outing, on Tuesday, Nov. 19, G-WU defeated Appalachian State, 69-63.
• Two Runnin' Bulldogs finished with double-doubles against App State with Catrina Green leading the way earning 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 5-of-7 from the line while pulling down11 boards.
• Doreen Richardson finished with 15 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the field and 7-of-7 from the charity stripe while pulling down a team best 12 rebounds.
New Additions
• Returning only two letterwinners from the team a year ago, NCCU welcomes 11 newcomers to the court this season.
• Junior transfers Khyra Conerly (Oakland, Calif./Northern Arizona), Racquel Davis (Brooklyn, N.Y./Johnson C. Smith) and Nikki Works (Syracuse, N.Y./Temple) sat out the 2012-13 season due to NCAA transfer rules. Rachel Williams (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Mt. San Antonio College) marks coach Taylor's firs community college transfer and Jessica Freeman (Charlotte, N.C./UNC-Wilmington) will join the Lady Eagles as a graduate student.
• After sitting out the 2012-13 season, redshirt freshmen Monique Whaley-Briggs will see the floor for the first time in a NCCU jersey by way of G.W. Carver High School of Engineering and Science in Philadelphia, Pa.
• In addition to the experienced newcomers, four true freshmen will also be looked to have an immediate impact on the youthful Lady Eagles program: Shiana Carrington (Corona, Calif.), Tia Clement (Winston-Salem, N.C.) , Alexus Hynes (Houston, Texa¬s) and Morgan Jones (Stockbridge, Ga.).
