DAVIS EARNS SECOND DOUBLE-DOUBLE AS NCCU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS TO USF

Davis Finishes with a Game-High 14 Rebounds

Box Score TAMPA, Fla. – Junior transfer Racquel Davis (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned her second double-double of the season as the North Carolina Central University women's basketball dropped a 93-35 decision to the University of South Florida Bulls on Wednesday, Nov. 20 inside the Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla.

Davis finished with a game-high 14 rebounds and team-high ten points for the Lady Eagles, shooting 2-of-14 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line, blocked three shots and collected one steal and assist.

In addition to Davis, Khyra Conerly (Oakland, Calif.) contributed her third-straight seven-point performance, Tiffany Gary (Delray Beach, Fla.) added six points and nine boards and Tia Clement (Winston-Salem, N.C.) shot 2-of-4 from three-point land accumulating another six points for NCCU.

The Bulls were led by Courtney Williams who scored a game-high 23 points, shot 10-of-12 from the field, 1-of-1 from behind the arc and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe.

As a team the Lady Eagles shot 13-of-60 from the field, 2-of-15 from the three, 7-of-9 from the free throw line, collected 41 rebounds, seven steals and eight blocks.

NCCU continues road action on Saturday, Nov. 23 as the Lady Eagles travel to Asheville, N.C. to take on the Bulldogs of UNC Asheville at 2 p.m.
