NCCU WOMEN’S TENNIS DROPS 4-3 DECISION TO LONGWOOD

Palko and Chatman earn singles and doubles win

FARMVILLE, Va. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) - During a Friday, March 23 visit to Longwood University in Farmville, Va., the North Carolina Central University women’s tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to the Lancers.
 
A win from doubles partners Cameron Chatman and Olesya Palko (No. 1 doubles team) and Ekaterina Nekrasova and Rebecca Wood (No. 2 doubles team) secured the doubles point.  Chatman and Palko defeated Malin Allgurin and Allison Shulman 8-3, while Marta Pinyol and Sarah Moomau were beat 9-8 (6) by Nekrasova and Wood.
 
Palko also ended the contest with a 6-4, 6-4 singles win against Pinyol, as Chatman tallied her second win of the day with a 6-4, 6-3 over Shulman.
 
The Lady Eagles return to action on Saturday, March 31 in Radford, Va., to take on Radford University at 3:00 p.m.
