NCCU TENNIS PROGRAMS FALL TO SOUTH CAROLINA STATE ON SUNDAY

Lady Eagles’ Palko tallies the only win against the Bulldogs

CARY, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) – Both the North Carolina Central University men’s and women’s tennis programs fell to South Carolina State University on Sunday, March 18 at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C.

The Eagles dropped a 7-0 decision, while the Lady Eagles notched one singles win for a 6-1 loss.

NCCU junior Olesya Palko defeated her SCSU opponent 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 as the No. 1 singles player.

The men’s squad is now 4-7 on the season, as the women’s team is 6-6 on the season.

The Lady Eagles return to action on Friday, March 23 in Farmville, Va., against Longwood at 2:00 p.m.

The Eagles take on Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foes Morgan State on Friday, March 30 on the NCCU Tennis Courts at 10 a.m.
