CARY, N.C. (Cary Tennis Center) – The Runnin’ Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb slipped past the North Carolina Central University women’s tennis team with a 4-3 victory on Saturday, March 12 in Cary, N.C. at the Cary Tennis Center.
Lady Eagle junior Cameron Chatman seized the only singles win of the match, defeating Gardner-Webb’s Laura Kriett 6-1, 6-3.
Chatman and sophomore Olesya Palko teamed up to beat the No. 1 Runnin’ Bulldogs doubles team 9-7.
The NCCU women’s tennis team continues the season traveling to UNC Wilmington on March 14 at 3 p.m. in Wilmington, N.C.
